Overview
Mikumi National Park is one of Tanzania's most accessible wildlife parks, located about 280–300 km west of Dar es Salaam. It is part of the larger Selous–Nyerere ecosystem and is often compared to the Serengeti because of its wide, open plains and abundant wildlife.
